Personalized Ribbon

 

What is the difference between the "Making a Bow" option and the "Continuous" option?

"Making a Bow" ribbon is printed to enable you to make a bow with the ribbon without covering up any of the copy.  Once cut, the ribbons are 12" in length (with the exception of our garbo ribbon, which is normally 14" in length).  Typically the name and the occasion will be printed on the left side of the ribbon bow and the date printed on the right side.  We offer the option to purchase wire so that if you are attaching the bow to a favor, you can tie the bow to the favor using the wire.  Please note that using wire will only work well if you are placing some type of embellishment (i.e., favor charms, ribbons roses, etc.) in the center of the favor bow.  Otherwise, the wire will show and the ribbon will not look as nice.

"Continuous" ribbon will have the same phrase repeated continuously (e.g., Party Innovations  www.partyinnovations.com  Party Innovations  www.partyinnovations.com  Party Innovations....).  There is usually a  3/4" - 1" space between each repeated phrase.  If you require a special amount of spacing, please specify this on the order form when placing the order.

 

Can I have my own custom logo printed on the ribbons?

Yes, we accept custom logos on most of our products. There is a plate charge for most of our ribbons when using your own artwork. This is a one-time fee, so in the future you will not have to pay for the plate again and you can use it to print your custom logo on ribbons as many times as you want. Please allow 4-5 days to make the plate and 2-3 days for printing the ribbons.

Please refer to the custom logo category for items that can be printed with your own artwork. There are so many items that we can print your artwork on so if you have a specific product in mind just give us a call and we can either point you in the right direction or source the product for you.

To send us your custom logo, you may upload it to our website when placing your order or you may e-mail it to us with a reference to your order number. Please e-mail your logo to logo@partyinnovations.com. The image must be black and white vector file, or a file that is at least 300 dpi (dots per inch) and must be one of the following file extension types: .pdf (with text saved in outline form), .tif, or .eps., and in some cases a .jpeg or .psd file will also work. If the image does not meet these requirements, the processing of your order could be delayed. If your eyes are falling out of your head when reading this then just give us a call and we can help you with sending the appropriate type of image. We also offer art correction services if you have an image that you would like to use but the image is of low quality.

Approximately 2 days after receiving the artwork from you, we will fax a proof to you. This is only a guideline and can differ depending on the product that is being customized. You must fax or email back your approval in order for us to proceed with the order.

If you plan to order a large quantity of ribbons (more than 5,000 yards), we can arrange for special options and pricing.  Please call our Customer Service department if you are interested in this service.

 

Can I receive a proof of my ribbon order?

If you are having your own custom logo printed on the ribbon, we will automatically provide you with a proof.

 

How long does it take to receive a personalized ribbon order?

Personalized ribbon orders take 4-5 business days in-house to print.  Shipping takes between 2-7 business days.  As a general rule, you should allow 14 days to receive the ribbon order.

 

Can I expedite the shipping of my personalized ribbon order?

Yes, we do offer a special rush option for personalized ribbons. For an additional $15.00 service charge, rush orders will be printed within 1 business day. The order must be placed by 8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time in order to have it printed and shipped the following day. For example, an order placed on Monday at 7:45 p.m. will be printed and shipped on the following Tuesday. A rush order placed on Thursday before 8:00 p.m. will be printed and shipped on Friday. You have the option to select a faster shipping method when checking out. Please refer to the following link for shipping costs.

 

What are the minimums for ordering personalized ribbons?

Personalized Ribbons "Making a Bow Option" are sold in increments of 50 with a minimum order of 50 ribbons.  Personalized Ribbons "Continuous Ribbon Option" are available in increments of 10 yards with a minimum order of 10 yards.

 

What are the different types of ribbon offered?

We offer Acetate Ribbon, Double Face Satin Ribbon, Feather Edge/Picot Edge Satin Ribbon, Metallic Edge Double Faced Satin Ribbon and Garbo Ribbon.  

Our acetate ribbon is our best ribbon for printing.  It is not as soft or shiny as satin ribbon but it will hold the printed words and designs better.  For example, if you scratch the text on a satin ribbon, you could rub off the printing.  However, it is very difficult to scratch of the text on our acetate ribbon because of the way it adheres to the ribbon and because we use a very good quality acetate ribbon.

Feather edge/picot edge satin ribbon has little loops on either side of the ribbon.

Metallic edge double faced satin ribbon has either a silver, gold, or iridescent edge on both sides of the ribbon.  We offer a variety of ribbon colors and combinations to choose from.

Garbo ribbon has organza on both sides with a narrow strip of satin in the center.  This is a unique ribbon and will add a special flair to your party favors.

 

What are the dimensions of the personalized ribbon?

Double faced satin is available in 3/8" and 5/8" widths. Metallic edge, acetate, and picot ribbons are 3/8" wide. Garbo ribbons are 5/8" wide. Each personalized ribbon for "Making a Bow Option" will be 12" long. Garbo is 14" long. Continuous ribbon will have approximately 3/4" -1" of space between each phrase. If you require a different amount of spacing, please specify this information on the order form when placing the order.

 

What are the font type and the font size used?

You will have the option to select the font size and type that you want on most of our printed ribbons. On our 3/8" width ribbons and our garbo ribbon, the default option is a 14 point italic font, but if you want a larger font, you can select the18 point font. This option is not available on the garbo ribbon because of the small amount of printing space available.

 

What color combinations do you recommend for ribbon and foil?

If you are selecting a light colored ribbon (white, ivory, mint, yellow, etc.), we recommend a darker foil (black, gold, burgundy, etc.). Silver foil prints well on dark colors but not as well on lighter colors. The only exception would be for metallic edge ribbons with a silver edge, which all look nice with a silver print. If you are choosing a darker ribbon, we recommend a lighter colored foil (white, silver, pink, etc.). This color combination makes for a nice contrast.

 

How do I decide on the copy I would like to have printed on my ribbons?

For "Making a Bow" ribbons, it is customary to place the name and the occasion on the left side and the date on the right side.  Please feel free to contact our Customer Service department if you would like assistance deciding on the copy you would like printed on your ribbons.

 

How are the ribbons packaged?

Our printed ribbons come on a roll. "Making A Bow" ribbons may be pre-cut at no extra cost. The cutting of the "Continuous" ribbon will vary depending on what you are tying the ribbon around.

 

How are ribbon orders shipped?

Most personalized ribbon orders are shipped via UPS. Orders sent to PO boxes are shipped by the United States Postal Service (USPS). If you ordered other items along with the personalized ribbon, the order may be shipped via UPS ground.

Can I order a sample ribbon?

Personalized Napkins (and other personalized items)

 

How long does it take to print the napkins?

We offer two types of napkins: personalized napkins (which require 7 business days for production) and personalized napkins in a hurry (which can be produced in 1-2 business days). Personalized favor bags, matchbooks, guest towels, favor boxes, champagne glasses, magnets, and plastic tumblers take 7 business days to print, but if you require these items in a shorter period of time, please call (800) 845-8746 to speak with a customer service representative.

 

Can I order a sample napkin?

Yes, we offer sample napkins.  Please see our sample napkins, tulle fabric, and ribbons product page to order samples.

 

Do I get a discount if I order a large quantity of personalized items?

We do offer quantity discount pricing on certain products.  Discount pricing applies to napkin orders of 3000 or more napkins.  The pricing structure will depend on what you want printed on the napkins.  If you need a large quantity of personalized items, please fax or email us a price quote request and include as much information as possible about your order.  A Customer Service representative will get back to you with a price quote.

 

Can I have my own custom logo printed on my personalized items?

Yes, we accept custom logos on most of our personalized products. To find out which products may be printed with a custom logo, please contact our Customer Service Department or refer to the custom logo category.

There is a plate charge for many of the custom logo products. This is a one-time fee, so in the future you will not have to pay for the plate again and you can use it to print your custom logo on as many times as you want. Please refer to the specific item that is being customized for production times. If the custom logo is being printed on items other than napkins (e.g., matchbooks), there may be a second plate charge because a different size plate may be required. This will be handled on a case by case basis.

For a one color imprint, the logo must be black and white. You may then select from our selection of inks and foils for the imprint color you would like.. If you would like more than one color, you will need to provide the PMS numbers or foil for each color. See custom napkins with 2,3 or 4 imprint colors for more information on this item.
