I too make tutus, usually I use 6 in wide tulle and about 60 yards of fabric for a toddler tutu... that usually makes for a real full tutu, although I've heard of some making them with over 100 yards per tutu... hope that helps!!

Is 3" wide tulle too thin to make a tutu? Does anyone know the difference between the way 3" and 6" wide tulle lays in this use? Any help Smile thanks!

I'm curious about the 3 inch tulle also. My little one is pretty tiny, and I wonder if she'll be overwhelmed by the 6 inch.

I love these on my little girl! I have used both the 3" and the 6". I like the way the 6" looks the best.

6" would be fine for a toddler. Just add more layers if you want a fuller look. Very Happy
