| I think a formal party would be a good idea or a 50's style party where in you get to wear classic clothes from that era. |

Ooh, I definitely second the vote for a casino party. All the men have to wear nice clothes (or suits if you can convince them) and the women in cocktail dresses. Lots of fun.
Or you can have your hubby remember his college days and have a fraternity toga party. Maybe with a touch of class-- champagne instead of beer, nice horsdouvres instead of pizza, etc.

Old post... new life!
I posted this on a different topic, but thought it was a good reply for this topic also:
A friend of mine recently had his engagement party and made it a theme to match the ways time was when we were in High School. Had the early 80's music going, had a 'Big Hair' contest, actually wipped out an old Atari 2600 (how long has it been you heard that), played Truth or Dare, had Jello Shots and Mad Dog 20/20, and many other things to bring everyone back in time. It was a blast! |

I am having a 40th birthday party for my husband and using the martini glass as theme. we had apple martinis and cosmos at our wedding and it was a hit so I am repeating the idea. just a thought... |

I love the Casino idea! You can hire people to come set up tables in your home if you want, or dress like a Vegas bunny and run them yourself! (just kidding... or maybe not)
