My sister will be 16 in July.... what are some themes that are being used? Everything I suggest just isn't "cool enough".

Thanks!

My daughter is into rock and light goth. She's not really into the girly girl stuff. So she chose her favorite colors of black, lime green, red and hot pink. Her invitations were all the above colors and had hearts with skulls and crossbones. So we're basically going along the slight gothic route. I figure its her party so it should be what she likes. It's definitely not traditional but, it is also music themed as well.

I guess the party is now over and this is too late, but as your daughter was turning 16 in July, a pool party could be very cool.

I assume that the girls will be driving or at least a couple of them....or maybe some MOMs.....a great party game I have done with my teenage daughter is to plan a scavenger hunt where you plan out the route....put clues in numbered envelopes and when the drive to and arrive at the destination they must take digital pictures of what the clue says....then they open the next envelope to venture on to the next destination....example taking their picture at walmart posing with stuffed animals or sitting in the tires.....taking a picture of themselves at Sonic Drive In eating a chilli dog.....posing with a statue in the city you live in or swinging on a playground at the elementary school....anyway, you just have to use your imagination with the clue destinations and the teams can actually play to see who gets back to the house first or or has the most pictures within a certain amount of time....My daughter and her friends LOVE for me to make up a list to follow. We live in a small town....so it works here.

How about fantasy or cartoons theme?? Very Happy Before, my neighbor had that party and it was so cool seeing how the guests really found the time and effort on their costumes.

A popular theme is "Black and White" formal. People have to wear black or white and all the decorations are black and white. It looks classic and beautiful. Another cute theme is western. And having the guests wear cowboy/ cow girl clothes!!
