We are spending about $4,000 for a luxury hotel and flights. With a wedding costing so much, we aren't wanting to spend a lot-- but we are still getting a great trip at a fairly low cost. If you have $10K+ to spend, though-- do it!

Have fun but try not to spend an unreasonable amount of money - you'll have a good time during, but afterwards you might feel just a tinge regret. You know how much you can afford - let that be your guideline. Cool

You can go to www. desatravel .com and register as you would at Macy's or Target and have your honeymoon paid for by family and friends...or at least have help with it!!

If you select the right destination, you can have an absolutely luxurious, top-of-the-line honeymoon. We went to Costa Rica for about $4,000 and stayed only at 5-star places, including one wonderful place that was part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World called Punta Islita. We were able to do the relaxing beachy thing and also be adventurous and do zip lines, 4WD vehicles across the rainforests, hiking, etc. It's a great place to go because they exist on tourism and really know how to pamper guests. I highly recommend - we've had 3 couples use the same company we used for their honeymoons and all loved it - bestofcostarica on the web

Your only going to do it once. I think you should decide what you want to do first, then worry about the budget. ^_^

p.s.: Don't go out and sell the farm, but if you get the picture.

My husband and I spent a little over $5000 and had the time of our lives...we did all inclusive in St. Lucia, which I believe, is the way to go. Money will be the last thing on your mind, b/c you will have already spent what you are going to spend and you can spend the rest of the week lounging and enjoying your time with one another.

We are spending about $3500 on our honeymoon. It's all inclusive with lots of food and activities. We know 2 other couples that have been to the same Sandals resort and LOVED it! I can't wait! I's going to be a blast.

If you go to an all-inclusive resort, you won't have to worry about food and drink costs (but policies vary from place to place).

Also, if you go on a cruise, you can get a really large room, enjoy all the cruise has to offer (food, drinks, entertainment, facilities), and still come under $4000.
