I wanted to know is it okay for flower girls to wear colored dresses instead of the Traditional white dress.

I've seen a lot of these in stores and on websites; I think they're cute!

I think that is a wonderful idea! I am going with the traditional white .. but only because our flower girl is our daughter and she wants to look just like Mommy! My original thought was to get her a burgundy dress just like the other girls tho.

And I think too, when it comes to how someone's wedding is done that just because it isn't "traditional" doesn't mean it doesn't work .. if that's how you want to plan it, then I say go for it! It's your day .. have it how you want it!!

Good luck!

My flower girl is my niece and we have gotten a dress that is more like the bridesmaids for her. It has the same clover green in it as theirs. I think it makes her look more like her mommy and she likes that. Also I have talked to a few people about getting a dress for her like mine, but so many cordinators and designers have said that its important for the bride to stick out. It seems to be a pretty fashionable trend to see flower girls in dresses that stand out or aren't like the bride's dress like once were.

A flower girl dress is an easy way to tie all your wedding colors together. It can be the same colors as your bride’s maids’ dresses, or it can be white or ivory. If you go with white or ivory, consider choosing a dress that has accents of your colors on a sash, beading, embroidery, or headpiece. At Us Angels, some of our flower girl gowns are available in white only, and others are offered in white or ivory. The Us Angels line of “beautiful color” gowns features white and ivory dresses and gowns with hints of color on pins, brooches, and sashes. Our embellishment colors on dresses and accessories include blush pink, black, diamond white, champagne, red, lettuce, amethyst, and chocolate. Embarassed
