I am throwing a wedding shower at a local coffee shop. They are providing a selection of desserts(cheesecake, chocolate somthing) at a mere 3.00 per person. Then they will just run a tab for the coffee and soft drinks. The bride is very excited. |

instead of renting a wishing well for my friends wedding shower, I used a white plastic hamper with a removable lid, I propped the lid above the hamper on two covered cardboad wrapping paper rolls that I taped to the inside of the hamper. I decorated the lid and hamper with lace and ribbon using stikiwax. I then hung a small pastel colored pail from the lid so it more resembeled a well. my friend loved it and it received lots of compliments. It was inexpensive, fun to put together, and a functional gift!! |

| Since it's summer time and hot where I live. We did a 'fun in the sun' bridal shower. We had the shower by the pool. We server Ice Tea and Lemonade, fresh fruit, veggies and dip, just finger foods - very refreshing. On the invitations we wrote 'fun in the sun' so everyone came dressed in shorts and tank tops - very casual. Everyone loved that it was layed back and something different. |

| I am throwing my sister a "Mad Hatter Tea Party" shower. The guests will wear crazy hats, she will have a "Queen of Hearts" crown. We are having a tea pot cake, lots of bright colors. |

| We are doing a recipe party. The bottom half of the invitations are detachable. Guests are requested to fill out the bottom with a favorite recipe and to bring a gift that can be used to make that recipe. There are so many fun ideas with this kind of shower - margarita glasses and a margarita recipe; a cake recipe with a cake pan, measuring cup and measuring spoons; etc. I think it's going to be very fun, and it's a creative idea. |

Well I am also planning a bridal shower and I came up with a theme for the guests as opposed to the bride. The bride will still receive gifts but the theme for the guests is "A Shower of Pampering" I hired a massage therapist to give each guest a hand massage. I also went to Bath and Body Works and bought all sorts of shower gels. All the giveaways will be centered around pampering. I hope this has been helpful for you. |

| I just had a tea party bridal shower. It was a huge success. We served an assortment of tea sandwiches on different types of bread and cut them into different shapes. They were placed on silver trays with white doilies. We served punch out of wine glasses. We set all the tables with plates and silverware. I also went to thrift shops to find teacup and saucers so everyone had a different teacup. They also took them home. The centerpieces were teapots I purchased on line and I filled them with pink and whit roses . The favors were teabags I purchased on line with the bride's name on it and then I purchased tea caddies. They were put in a clear cellophane bag tied with a pink ribbon. I had a dessert bar set up with all different types of desserts served in crystal bowls etc. That seemed to go over big. The other table was set up with a lot of different teas . It was a simple theme to put together but seemed to make a big impression on the guests. |
