I usually do something with a candle inside a glass container. I sometimes take pictures and decoupage them onto the glass or place things inside the glass container i.e. for beach theme put sand and shells around the candle inside a glass bowl. I also have gotten some inexpensive stands at the dollar store to hold the glass containers.

i strongly recommend either something having to do with your child's Torah or Haftorah portion or something having to do with their tzedakah project. My first child's portion was Bereshit - creation of the world up thru the trees. We used Globes and Bonsai Trees (which we donated). Second child is Bamidbar - "desert" with Hosea "sand and the sea quote" - we're doing sand castles and cacti. I've also seen books piled and wrapped, toys wrapped, etc.

I was given a suggestion for my sons Bar Mitzvah that I'm going with! Personalized balloons grouped together with the giveaway attached by the ribbon-- it's a centerpiece plus part of the giveaway! I think it'll look really festive as well.

Have you tried the Awesomeevents site? They have some nice centerpieces. I've heard they are pretty easy to put together. I found a woman nearby who does beautiful work. You might try ordering the materials if you're creative. Good Luck.

Check dipsanddrizzles.com website. They offer boquets, centerpieces, and individual favors. If you want more details, I would talk to Karrie, she is a great idea person. If her number is not on the website, email me and I will get it to you.
