Kind of on a budget for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary, not too much extra $$ available for favors. I got the idea to use the White Tote Box, personalized, and fill it with Hershey's kisses! Something people will use, and won't just sit around collecting dust!

Sounds nice. I think I'm going to use the plastic champagne glasses, fill a tulle circle with gold candy & tie it up with curling ribbon. I got the idea from Michaels'.

Our party isn't until July 17th. I'm thinking of filling the champagne glasses with assorted gold wrapped chocolates from bulkfoods.com

I'm thinking of using those cd's we get in the mail and spray painting them gold and then decorate with with a picture of my parents and some ribbon. Not much $$. Spray paint only $.94 at walmart. Also, use cans (from canned vegtables) spray paint gold, polk holes in them and use at candle holder for around the pool.

I like the idea of the tote box with kisses. I am also thinking of the seed packages that are personalized.

For my in-laws upcoming party, I designed a custom 50th Anniversary label on my computer and printed them (9 per page) on white permanent adhesive sticker paper, then timmed them to fit around a roll of mints. They look similar to a roll of "LIFESAVERS" except for the gold accents. I changed the name to "LOVESAVERS" and personalized it with their name and wedding date along with a thank you message to our guests for celebrating their golden wedding anniversary with us. This has turned out to be a farily inexpensive party favor/keepsake. If you can print the labels yourself, and find a good price on multi packs of rolled candy at Costco, The Dollar Store or local drug/discount stores, it can save some money versus ordering on them on line. I think my in-laws will love how they turned out! Very Happy

for my parents 25th...i was thinking about the hershey kisses but i found something better and cheaper. i bought blank dvds (50 pk are really cheap and if you look around you can get them discounted) and blank labels for cds so you can put a photo of the couple. then i downloaded a dvd burner and i am going to give everyone a copy of the notebook which is my parents favorite movie. it may go against copyright laws though...i am not sure because you can copy dvds but not for selling purposes but for extra copies..so i take this as an extra copy cuz a lot of people have this dvd all ready! i dunno. that was just what we are doing.

also...i want to dollar tree and got 4 boxes of party favor boxes....and i cant return them so we may just buy a ton of gummy bears (cuz they are cheap also) and dip them in chocolate. someone gave me the idea of chocolate covered gummy bears..i'm kinda sketchy on how they will test but we shall see.

For our parent's 50th Anniversary we make blank scrapbook pages for every guest to fill out. There were three questions...How do you know Allen & Marilyn? What is your favorite memory or story about the (_______) family?
Your Name? Then we placed them directly in a prepared book for them to enjoy. We also took digital pictures of all the guests to place on the back of their scrapbook page (we added them in later). Our parents loved and appreciated the memory of their special day!

For my parents 50th anniversary party I bought small gold frames from the dollar store and made wallet size copies of their wedding picture and put them in the frames as the favor. We also did a collage of pictures from the past 50 years. Everyone got a kick out of that.
