| Who would you usually invite to a bridal shower? Close friends/family? Who customarily throws the shower? |

| My Maid of Honor is throwing the bridal shower. However, I'm not sure who is customarily invited either. |

| You can invite any female that's invited to the wedding. I had my good friends and family. |

My co-workers are throwing a shower for me and have invited a ton of people from work who were not invited to the wedding...is this tacky? Or is the co-worker shower generally exempt from this "rule"? |

| I think that as long as the shower is actually at work- it's fine. If it's on a weekend in a different location- I think that's tacky. We usually do group showers for babies and weddings that are very simple. We use the school cafeteria or library, get an appropriate cake (or cakes) and collect from each staff member to purchase a few large gifts from their registry. I think we all realize that we won't all be invited to all weddings that take place among our staff. It's just a nice for everyone to feel like they have a little part of it. |

Be sure to invite sisters. When I was 16 I was not invited to my sisters shower and I was the Maid of Honor. |

| I think if your co-workers know and understand that you have a limited amount of people you can invite and they want to throw a party for you anyway that's ok... so long as they understand that ahead of time. |

My wedding shower is currenty being planned. My soon-to-be mother in law says all the women are invited...who are invited to the wedding. The only exception would be if the woman is a guest of someone or if they are out of town guests. This is what we are more or less going by.
Hope this helps.

The Bridal Party usually throws the Shower. You usually invite, Mothers of the Bride and Groom as well as grandmothers, close co-workers, aunts and close friends who are invited to the weddding. |
