A great idea is to use glass vase and then surround the vase with grape vine and fresh flowers.

Good Luck!

Many people are now using the bridemaids's bouquets placed in clear vases for centerpieces.

For my wedding I am using a flat vase with color marbles around the outside and a votive candle in the middle. I like the glow and the romance around the candle light!

Make sure that your center piece large enough for the tables you pick. Otherwise, it looks lost and like you waited until the last minute. Large, circular tables need substantial center pieces!

I like floating flowers in a big shallow bowl. You can put a flowers or floating candles. Depending on wich mood you want to create.

I saw some beautiful centerpieces that were romantic but not overpowering. They took tall clear glass vases about 4-5 inches in diameter filled with water a couple of inches from the top. Then they placed 2-3 rose blossoms down in the water (not floating on top). Next they used a floating candle at the top of the vase. You could choose flowers or colors based on your wedding colors.

I've also seen the same idea without the cadles using long stem flowers such is lilies or gladiolias put upside down in the vase. It sounds strange but the overall effect was quite dramatic and unusual at the same time.

If you don't have enough bridesmaids, you could ask your florist to make similar bouquets for the tables. The problem I see with using the bridesmaids' bouquets is if there are chioldren at the wedding, the flowers may get a little ratty and many like to save and dry them. We used the bridesmaids' bouquets to decorate the head table and cake tables only.

The soft colors and flower petals in this design make it a very pretty wedding centerpiece idea if you are decorating for a spring or summer wedding. It also happens to be an extremely simple project, so you can easily create this fabulous wedding centerpiece yourself if you'd like to do your own wedding decorating!

The rose petals used here are faux, but who would know it? Tiny 'water droplets' on the petals make them look oh-so-real. Of course, you could use fresh petals if you were so inclined, but these are so much more hassle free - no wilting or withering, and very easy to re-use again and again.

Instead of using floater candles in this design, tea light candles are placed in shiny clear glass holders that float atop the water - we love this idea, and your wedding guests will too! The glass of the holders captures the reflection of the candlelight to really enhance the overall effect of the design.
