Lookin for a "princess" wedding, ie. the tiara, ballgown, and the invitations are "off to the ball". I don't want to go over the top with Cinderella songs, and pastel colors. Wedding-> New Years Eve, so I'd like it to be a special ball-like occasion. What do you think about having favors as a crystal slipper filled with almonds? Most everything is going to center around crystal & silver (even my dress)... but again its that Cinderella thing..??? Help Surprised

I'm having a Cinderella wedding too. We're having the clear slippers with pastel colored M&M's in them. I'm having a ball gown and my fiance is going to wear a top hat. We're having candelabras for reception centerpieces. We're also having a little castle on top of the cake and a little carriage on the bottom tier. I'm making the invites. They're going to be a scroll that you unroll. I think everything is turning out so well. I'm not worring about "over-doing" it. My advice is to just make yourself happy. It's your day and you want everything to be perfect! Very Happy

Don't worry about what other people think. If you see it and you like it then you should have it!! This is YOUR wedding and themes are great. Go with it.

Hey,,
i guess it's the year for cinderella weddings...Well i've gone all out...and learnt to save a little by creating a few things of my own...like the wine labels and favor tags etc... by just getting the software, creating everything matching on my comp and take them to business depot to print.
as for a honeymoon.. i live in Canada, my wedding's in October and i found that by booking a cruise now, which i did, you can save thousands of dollars. i've checked around many places and was finally able to book my cruise through travelocity.com and saved at least 2000 dollars by booking early...
my only problem is i cant seem to find a cheap flight to miami to board my cruise...I'll just keep checking.
Btw...my centrepieces are the actual castles, and i bought these silver platters to place them on the table.. and my wedding favors are the actual glass carriages with the horses each in a clear glass box...i've been saving for 2 yrs for this wedding....

To all the cinderellas out there, enjoy......

I think Cinderella themed weddings are sweet. My sister in law is having that same themed wedding. Its your day. Make it what you want and forget what everyone else says. Congrats.

If it makes you happy, just go all out for the theme. How many days in your life do you get to be cinderella?
