I was wondering how early is too early to start throwing showers so that we can both attend and his friends can be there as well. You want to be able to share this special time together. I think in this circumstance your family and friends will totally understand and they will be there to support you and share with you no matter what! However, under the circumstances, I don't think that anyone would feel your wedding was a burden. I am so happy for you and I wish your fiance a speedy trip home!! As a matter of fact, I would do a big party that included your engagment party, showers, etc. Since your fiance is being deployed, you don't have much time. Do it now. Your family and friends will be thrilled to make a big deal over the party with you. Have fun!
