Hi,
Here's some things for your daughter's party that might help your planning. Coming from a Latino background, I know a Sweet 15 usually involves close to, if not more than 100 people. This can get expensive and such, so here's what we did at my cousin's Sweet 15.
A church rec room was rented for $150 for the day. It had all the chairs, tables, had a full kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. My mom was the DJ, and she had a microphone, light ball, and endless cd's the teens were happy to lend. All the auntseach cooked a dish big enough to feed an army, so this cut down on catering costs for so many people. She made the centerpieces which were 3 latex balloons at different heights with balloon weights and a metalic star, with confetti on table. She also made a balloons arch at the top of the stairs in room. She had about 14 girls and guys, and organized them to have the guy hand their date a rose, and then walk down the staurs. We did this while another cousin sang. My mom introduced each couple and then grand finale of Sweet 15 girl coming down with her date, both all in white.
Then came the speeches from her mom, dad, and grandfather. Next the 15 girl is handed a brand new doll to give to a young girl/baby of her choosing - this symbolizes that she is passing her childhood and things that go with it onto another girl who will cherish it like she did and accept her new path to womanhood. Next was the changing of the shoes. The 15 girl sits down and a chosen person brings out her high heel shoes on a matching satin pillow. She takes her slippers/ flat shoes off and her dad and grandfather put on her shoes. This symbolizes the blessing and acceptance of her womanhood. Then she dances with those who put on her shoes. After this , it's eating, dancing and chatting time. The Sweet 15 girl then comes around to each guest to briefly chat with her, she pins on a caupia, and hand her a present or a cardd with money. She puts it in a silk bag she carries, and usually has someone with her to carry the caupias and presents. Usually all the guests attend their church to see the priest/pastor bless the Sweet 15 girl.
As for websites, I would do a search on a search engine like on ask.com, and topic sites like about.com. Ihope I have helped. Good Luck, Sandy
